Luring

This is where you show the dog the reward you want to use and they should keep their nose on the food to follow it around. It’s fine if they lick or nibble at the food to keep their interest up! 

If your dog is not yet used to this we like to have multiple pieces of food in our hand and slowly walk backwards while drip feeding the food from our hand to get a dog used to this. It doesn't usually take long for them to catch on!
